FAQ

It can include combinations of movements (asana), breath, mudra (hand gestures), mantra (intention-setting phrases and sounds), mindfulness and meditation. It is perfect for releasing tension, for feeling at home in your body, and is enjoyable for everyone.
Yes - all that is needed is a willingness to learn and explore in a supportive space. All classes are accessible for beginners of any age. You are encouraged to be guided by your own body, using the modifications and props cued as needed, and coming to rest whenever that would feel best - even if that's for the whole class!
A limited number of mats and blocks are available, please bring your own to class if possible. A water bottle, cushion for sitting if you'd like extra comfort, bolster, blanket and eye pillow for our final rest are all great ideas, bring what you'd like.
Comfortable clothing that doesn't restrict your movement is best. Fitted tops are a good idea so they don't fall over your head. Yoga is safest done barefoot, though some people prefer grippy socks. It's a good idea to wear lots of layers you can take off as you warm up or put on at the end for your final relaxation - especially in our Scottish winters!
